Hi Courtney,

I and using Solaris 10 U7. I have sendmail configured on one of the m/c. I see that if the send mail is not able to send the mails it gets queued in /var/spool/mqueue.

Now, during luactivate some critical files/directories gets synced between the env and /var/spool/mqueue is one of them.

The problem that I am facing is if there are lots of files queued then luactivate takes a lot of time and in one of the m/c there were about 6000 files and luactivate took about 30 min.

I would like to know if there is a way we can quantitatively define how many mails in /var/spool/mqueue will make luactivate delayed.

I need to know the internals of luactivate and how sync works.
